Notice of Publication: VQE using Genetic Algorithms.


The paper, "Evaluation on Genetic Algorithms as an optimizer of Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) method," written with Dr. Tomono of TOPPAN and Dr. Yasuda of Vignette & Clarity, is now in preprint. This paper compares the performance of Genetic Algorithm (GA) as an optimizer of Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) method with other methods such as BFGS, Powell, and Nelder-Mead. The numerical results in this paper show that although GA does not have high accuracy, it may be able to achieve high accuracy in combination with other methods. The paper also discusses methods for improving accuracy in GA.
