I have just submitted a paper titled &#34;Splitting of energy levels of Spin-vortex Induced Loop Currents by feeding external currents&#34; in collaboration with Dr. Tomono. This paper shows the advantage of external currents in splitting the levels required for quantum calculations in spin vortex induced loop currents by both non-uniform magnetic fields and external currents. Spin eddy-induced loop currents are nano-sized permanent currents that are believed to exist in the conduction layer of copper oxide high-temperature superconductors. You can read more about it here, but it allows the current mode to be used as a qubit. Splitting by a magnetic field requires a large local magnetic field, which runs the risk of being vulnerable to internal and external noise. In contrast, an external current can not only couple qubits together, but also split levels. This is an important milestone in the realization of spin vortex-induced loop current quantum computers.
