SEMI Japan Establishes Council for Quantum Computers, Nearing Practical Application; blueqat Inc. to Produce First Committee Chair

SEMI Japan has been focusing on and introducing quantum computer technology at SEMICON Japan since 2020 through seminars and pavilion exhibits, and has recently established a council between SEMI member companies supplying semiconductor manufacturing equipment and materials and those involved in quantum technology. A kick-off meeting was held on May 18. The council was chaired by Yuichiro Minato, CEO/CTO of blueqat Corporation, and Tomoki Nagai, General Manager of Materials Informatics Promotion Office, JSR Corporation.
