Recently, our company has seen an increasing interest and demand for generative AI.
In fact, text generation AI like ChatGPT, and image generation AI such as Stable Diffusion, are becoming very popular. These machine learning models are not just trends, they can actually be used in business operations, leading to cost reduction and the creation of new businesses, thus having a significant impact. Indeed, we cannot ignore these trends and by responding well to them, we can decide the direction of our business.
At blueqat, we are simultaneously advancing our initiatives in both generative AI and quantum computing, and are actively working on our services such as quantum computer cloud systems. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce some of our initiatives.
The first is the implementation of ChatGPT in blueqat's Quantum Computing Machine Learning Cloud. Recently, education and talent development in quantum computing have become increasingly popular, and we have implemented a ChatGPT button for these efforts. Our blueqat Cloud, which currently offers a paid version for businesses, makes it easy to program and formulate quantum computers using the Python programming language. However, such talent development efforts are not simple for companies. Therefore, with commands like 'Write a quantum circuit for quantum teleportation' or 'Formulate a QUBO for the traveling salesman problem', it can directly write programs to execute these tasks. Additionally, if you ask 'Explain what you just wrote' for the code it created, it will explain its contents. In this way, it has become a very user-friendly interface, even for beginners.
Our next initiative is an advertising revenue improvement platform using generative AI and quantum machine learning. This initiative, which we have been working on since around 2016, was also a topic at a D-Wave conference. Nowadays, it's challenging to judge whether content created by text generation AI or image generation AI is good or bad. In the application provided by blueqat, we measure the effect of these generated images and texts through actual advertising and SNS exposures, visualize the results, and by evaluating them, we can create a cycle that utilizes better generative AI. It automates advertising and product development. It has been supported by many companies and has become very popular content.
The third initiative is the pure utilization of advertising. In April 2023, we sponsored a summer festival event at Shibuya WeWork, where we utilized generative AI to create images of fireworks. This initiative was highly appreciated, helping to attract customers and enliven the venue. Until now, it took a lot of effort to post such images or advertisements, but by using generative AI, we can easily attract customers and create excitement. In fact, we have been using text generation AI and image generation AI at various events, and through social media, we have been able to attract a large number of customers at a low cost."
Lastly, regarding commissioned research, there is a lot of interest in improving performance across a wide range of fields that adapt to models and networks, by utilizing quantum technology in existing neural networks. This applies not only to CNNs used in traditional image recognition or RNNs used in time series but also to heavy models with many parameters like transformers or BERT.
By engaging with these cutting-edge technologies as a company, it's possible to maintain competitive strength and contribute to new business and technological developments. At our company, we view the trend of generative AI as a significant issue or theme that companies should engage in. We believe that by incorporating it into mid-to-long-term corporate plans, significant growth can be achieved, and indeed, many companies are already doing so.
We expect that the combination of traditional methods and the utilization of quantum computing will have a positive impact on company growth and business plans, and we hope that companies will recognize this and work on it.
