Quoted from Q‑star's website.

On February 14, 2025, the Q-STAR Quantum City Promotion Committee hosted the "1st Quantum City Networking Event" as an opportunity to deepen the understanding of quantum technology among local governments, universities, and companies, and to build cooperative relationships.

More than 60 participants joined both in person and online. Presentations were given by representatives from local governments, universities, and companies, covering activity reports and initiatives on leveraging quantum technology for innovative urban development, making the event a great success.

As research and development in quantum technologies—such as quantum computers—progress, it is expected that by the time these technologies are socially implemented, there will be significant transformations in the systems and networks supporting the infrastructure and services of our cities.

Our association is leading the way globally in promoting the societal implementation of quantum technologies, aiming to become a global leader in this field by collaborating with our member organizations. The Quantum City Networking Event is not limited to a select few enthusiasts; it is an initiative to build a broad network—including local governments—that is essential for future societal implementation and to pave the way for the quantum era.

Following the event, many participants expressed their anticipation for future editions, so we plan to organize a second event and beyond. Those interested are invited to contact our association.

Our company had the honor of presenting our initiatives on "Tourism x Quantum" in Hida Takayama City.
